Dear students, faculty, and staff,
Good Sunday morning. Here are some brief updates.
Fall Quarter online fees
A number of our larger classes have been moved online to accommodate state gathering restrictions. Normally, fees for an online course include a $25 online fee, and that fee is automatically assessed by our computer system. It has not been our intention to collect those fees for Fall Quarter courses that have been transitioned to online because of COVID-19. For the Fall 2020 Quarter, that online fee has been removed from students’ fee bills.
I’d like to remind our students, faculty, and staff that the accommodations process for Fall 2020 is now open. Accommodations will be made for those students, faculty, and staff who are in a high-risk category as defined by the Centers for Disease Control.
A student requesting an accommodation related to the COVID-19 pandemic should complete the student accommodation form and deliver by email to Testing and Disability Services (firstname.lastname@example.org). Testing and Disability Services will follow its established procedures in evaluating the accommodation request.
Faculty and staff members should complete the faculty and staff accommodation form and return it to Human Resources by email to email@example.com to begin their process. You may be contacted for additional information so the form can be processed. Once the accommodation team has agreed upon a decision, the form is signed and returned to Human Resources, who will then forward the final form to the employee.
