The New Faculty Academy

The New Faculty Academy is designed to familiarize faculty new to Louisiana Tech with the University, the surrounding area, and each other. The sessions offered August 28th-30th, 2013, are necessary to insure that Louisiana Tech equips new faculty with the information they need to successfully fulfill their professional responsibilities, and to make new faculty aware of legal issues related to dealing with students and other Tech employees. Attendance is mandatory and will be documented, and if for some reason you must miss a session it is your responsibility to contact Dr. Rick Simmons at CAPD (2912) and make individual arrangements to obtain the information or training that you have missed as well as documentation that you can provide to your supervisor showing that you have completed this required activity.

Thank you for working with us to ensure that Louisiana Tech faculty are well-prepared to conduct their professional activities and that the University meets all of its legal and accrediting agency requirements.
