  • Jun 2 – Last day for 90% refund of tuition
  • Jun 9 – Last day for 70% refund of tuition
  • Jun 16 – Last day for 40% refund of tuition

Return of Military Tuition Assistance (TA) Policy

Louisiana Tech has an institutional policy that returns any unearned TA funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60 percent portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based upon when the student stops attending. TA is awarded to a student under the assumption that the student will attend school for the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When a student resigns or withdraws from a course, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of TA funds that the student was originally scheduled to receive.  Louisiana Tech recalculates TA eligibility for students who resign or withdraw for courses prior to completing greater than 60% of the enrollment period.  Recalculation is based on the percent of TA earned using the following chart:

  • May 31 – Last day for 100% refund of tuition
  • Jun 2 – Last day for 90% refund of tuition
  • Jun 9 – Last day for 80% refund of tuition
  • Jun 16 – Last day for 70% refund of tuition
  • June 23 – Last day for 60% refund of tuition
  • June 30 – Last day for 50% refund of tuition
  • July 7 – Last day for 40% refund of tuition
  • July 14 –  Last day for 30% refund of tuition
  • July 15 – Earned 100% of TA; no refund

Failure to Pay

Failure to pay for classes or failure to attend classes does not automatically drop a student from a course or withdraw a student from the university or cancel a student’s indebtedness incurred by registration. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate the necessary paperwork to drop or resign.

Procedures for Drops, Adds, and Resignations

Students are responsible for completing the proper forms in the Tech office if dropping a course, adding a course, or resigning from all courses. Students using military tuition assistance must have the forms approved by the Base Education Office and personally return the forms to the Tech office.
