Students gain knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, exercise prescription, health behavior, exercise physiology, and sport and exercise psychology while developing practical skills through lab-based learning and hands-on experiences. Students interested in becoming a licensed physical therapist, a licensed occupational therapist, a physician’s assistant, a medical doctor, or a professor will need to complete advanced graduate work (master’s degree, D.P.T., M.D., or Ph.D.) beyond the bachelor’s degree.
