Benjamin Scot Bergholtz

Associate Professor
Department: School of Literature and Language | College of Liberal Arts

Overview

Benjamin Bergholtz is an Assistant Professor of 20th and 21st century American literature.  He received his PhD from Louisiana State University in 2018, and he was a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech before joining the faculty at Louisiana Tech.  His research interests include the contemporary intersections of global and American literature, critical theory, and aesthetics.  These interests coalesce in his current book project, Swallowing the World: Globalization and the Maximalist Novel, which argues that the maximalist novel is an aesthetic response to globalization and a global phenomenon in its own right.
