Dr. Leland Weiss is the Dean of the Graduate School and Thurman Lauret Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech. Dr. Weiss was previously an Academic Director in the College of Engineering and Science and began his role as Dean of the Graduate School in 2026. Dr. Weiss has significant research background in the thermal sciences, fabrication and MEMS/materials spaces in addition to his roles in educational research and outreach activities.
