Louisiana Tech University’s School of Theatre announces the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of “Proof,” written by David Auburn and directed by Jeremy Reynolds.
The production will run November 3 - November 8, 2026, in Stone Theatre at the Howard Center for the Performing Arts.
A moving exploration of grief, family, and inheritance, “Proof” follows Catherine on the eve of her 25th birthday, shortly after the death of her father Robert, a brilliant but troubled mathematician.
As Catherine navigates her grief and uncertain future, her estranged sister, Claire, arrives with plans of her own while Hal, one of Robert’s former students, searches through his 103 notebooks hoping to uncover a groundbreaking mathematical discovery. As questions arise surrounding the motives behind Hal’s search and Claire pushes her to move, Catherine begins asking herself: did she inherit her father’s genius, his mental illness, or both?
