Immigration Checklist:
The following items are required in order to receive your Initial I-20 form. This
form is used to apply for your F-1 Student Visa. Upon your acceptance, you will receive your I-20 and instructions on how to apply
for the F-1 Student Visa. For more details on the visa application process, please click here. **Please note** that we do not advise applicants to schedule a visa interview appointment prior to
receiving their I-20. We cannot expedite the issuance of anyone's I-20 due to an approaching
interview date.
- Bank Statement or Scholarship Letter: Proof of available yearly funds to cover each
academic year of study (Fall, Winter, and Spring) in the form of an official bank
statement of account, government scholarship letter, or athletic scholarship letter
(accounts must be accessible at any time). Must be a recent statement, no older than
6 months at the time of I-20 issuance
- If coming from a High School in the United States, you must submit a copy of most
recent I-20 and current I-94 card
- DS-160
When filling out the DS-160 for your visa interview, you can list our office address

Most admission documents can be sent as PDF attachments via email (international@latech.edu). You also have the option to send your documents by express or standard mailing options.

Funding
An application will not be considered without specific documentation of yearly funds
available to cover each academic term of study. Louisiana Tech University estimates
the student’s average cost for an academic term of nine months (Fall, Winter, and
Spring) to be:

When the required credentials are on file, your application will be processed and
you will be notified of the decision. If you want anyone other than yourself to receive
information, we must have written permission from you stating the full name of the
person.
**I-20s will only be issued to accepted students.
Provisional Deadlines - please submit your application and all required documents
