AREAs of Focus

OFE programming, this year, is organized around three areas that are central to faculty work: teaching, navigating the changing role of AI, and research and scholarly activity. Within each area, we will offer practical opportunities to learn, connect with colleagues, and make use of expertise already available across campus.

Teaching in Practice

Teaching develops across a career. OFE programming will support faculty who are new to the classroom as well as experienced instructors interested in refining their practice, trying new approaches, and responding to changing student needs.

AI in Teaching

AI is changing how faculty think about assignments, assessment, academic integrity, and learning. These sessions are designed to help faculty consider practical approaches, ask questions, and make informed choices about how AI fits, or does not fit, within their teaching.

Research & Scholarly Support

Research support already exists in many places across the university. OFE is working with campus partners to make those resources easier to find, create opportunities for focused scholarly work, and strengthen connections among faculty across disciplines.
