Louisiana Tech photography majors Ashley Matthews, of Pineville, and Christy Martin, of Benton, each had a black and white photograph featured in the August issue of The Sun Magazine.

The two submitted portfolios of their work to the magazine this past school year as part of their course work in the photography program at Tech’s School of Art. Matthews said she plans to submit more work to The Sun for potential publication.

Graduate photography student Andy Bloxham, of West Monroe, will be published in the upcoming issue No. 9 of Light Leaks Magazine. One of Bloxham’s images was selected as part of a special issue dedicated to Polaroid photographs. Bloxham will also be featured in the twelfth issue of Creative Quarterly magazine. Additionally, senior photography student Scott Litton, a junior from Ruston, will be featured in this same issue of Creative Quarterly.

Senior photography major Ryan Ball, of Baton Rouge, has also received a travel scholarship from the South Central Region of the Society for Photographic Education. This will allow Ryan to attend the regional conference in Memphis, which runs from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. Bell will also participate in the conference by showing one of his pieces in the members’ exhibition in Memphis.
