CITGO Petroleum Corporation recently presented Louisiana Tech’s College of Engineering and Science with two checks for scholarships.
The company awarded $5,000 to Tech’s chemical engineering program and another $5,000 to the mechanical engineering program during a ceremony held in Houston.
Bill Hatch, vice president for CITGO’s supply and marketing department, presented the checks to Dr. Paul N. Hale Jr., director of Tech’s industrial relations program within the College of Engineering and Science.
Yvonne Holmes, manager of staffing and employee services for CITGO, said Tech is one of the core schools from which her corporation recruits and that the company is proud to support universities that provide quality education for tomorrow’s leaders.
