Louisiana Tech student teams competed in the Pick of the Litter Idea Pitch competition during the fall quarter, and the top teams are about to be named.

The top 10 Idea Pitch teams will be recognized, and each team will receive $200 during a ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, in the Enterprise Center, 509 W. Alabama. The public is invited to attend.

Teams who participated in the competition presented innovative ideas for new ventures to judges and the student body. Competitors answered questions about their idea and gave a presentation of their answers. While professional judges voted, students also had a chance to voice their opinions. They viewed the live presentations or watched them online and then voted by text message.

The Association of Business, Engineering and Science Entrepreneurs (ABESE) is hosting this check ceremony as a partner in Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 17 – 23, an initiative to encourage young people to think big and turn their innovative ideas into reality.

The top 10 Idea Pitch teams will compete Tech’s TOP DAWG Business Plan competition during the winter quarter. The TOP DAWG was established in 2002 and is organized by ABESE.
