Louisiana Tech’s annual poinsettia sale will brighten up the holiday season as about 30 of this year’s premium poinsettias, Christmas cacti and chrysanthemums will be auctioned off.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in Lomax Hall lobby, and the auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge to come view the poinsettias. For those unable to attend the auction, regular sales will begin Friday.

Red, white and pink poinsettias are available, and plants range in size from petite “pixies” to large bushes and trees.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Fund. Profits from the standard sales are used for supplies and maintenance for the Lomax greenhouses and garden.
