The Western Athletic Conference recently announced its all-academic teams for fall sports and 20 Louisiana Tech student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom by the conference.

To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and participated in at least 50-percent of the team’s contests.

Louisiana Tech ranks No. 1 in the state and in the WAC in graduation rate among student-athletes according to the 2008 Federal Graduation Rate Report.

The LA Tech student-athletes who received the award for the fall were David Accardo (football), Kaycie Artim (volleyball), Katlyn Bachan (soccer), Debora Bolonhini (volleyball), Emily Cleaveland (soccer), Steven Cortez (men’s cross country) Samantha Crowder (volleyball), Brittany Davis (soccer), Kyle Davis (men’s cross country), Nathan Davis (men’s cross country), Kinsey Dinnel (men’s cross country), Taylor Fritz, (volleyball), Kiva Gresham (soccer), Quin Harris (football), Mason Hitt (football), Ross Jenkins (football), Brooke Lanie (soccer), Kathleen McCulloug (soccer), Jack Ramstad (men’s cross country) and Amy Wolsted (soccer).
