A public forum on creating “green” business opportunities, reducing energy consumption and developing alternative energy sources will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Louisiana Tech Enterprise Center Tuesday, Feb. 10.

This event is one of many forums being held throughout the southern United States to help gather information for the Southern Growth Policies Board’s annual conference in June on “The Business of Southern Energy.”

Community members will help identify opportunities and establish priorities for energy-related activities in this area and across the southern region of the United States. This forum will facilitate the exchange of ideas, identify common energy issues, introduce valuable resources and cultivate local business opportunities related to energy issues.

Forum sponsors include the Enterprise Center, Rural Development Center, Technology Business Development Center and USDA Rural Development. Admission is open to the public and there is no fee to attend. The Enterprise Center is located at 509 W. Alabama in Ruston. For information contact the TBDC at (318) 257-3537.
