The 2009 Student Art Exhibition will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Louisiana Tech School of Art. This year’s exhibition will be juried by visiting artist and Tech alumnus David Taylor, whose work is exhibited nationally.

Taylor, who finished his B.F.A. in 1989, is an associate professor of photography at New Mexico State University and was the 2008 recipient of a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. His work can be found in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the Washington State Arts Commission, the El Paso Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Foundation and Fidelity Investments.

Taylor will give a public lecture about his photography addressing the United States and Mexican border Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. in Room 103 of the Louisiana Tech School of Art, located at 1 Mayfield Drive in Ruston.
