Louisiana Tech’s IDEA Place Math and Science Discovery Center will observe its 15th anniversary Thursday, March 12.

Children will receive free admission to this event, which will include special guest performers such as chemistry magician Dr. Bill Deese, a Tech chemistry professor, and the A.E. Phillips Bull Pup Choir.

Punch and celebration cake will be served, and participants will have an opportunity to work with interactive experiments.

“We would like to share the successes and effectiveness of the IDEA Place programs and let the community know that their support directly affects students, teachers and families,” said Lindsey Keith-Vincent, museum educator.

Tickets are a suggested donation of $25 and are available at the Dixie, at the IDEA Place and the Alumni Center.

Faculty and staff of Tech’s College of Education and the media can attend at no cost.

The celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixie Center for the Arts. For more information contact Keith-Vincent at (318) 257-2866.
