Louisiana Tech will host Area Health Education Center Day Wednesday, March 18, and those organizing the event are expecting about two dozen high school students to attend and glean knowledge about health and science careers.

Dr. James Liberatos, dean of the College of Applied and Natural Sciences, and Pam Moore, director of the division of nursing, will welcome the students, and the nursing faculty will have an opportunity to interact with the students during hands-on demonstrations.

The students will also have a chance to explore biological sciences with Mary Muslow, an assistant professor and coordinator of the medical technology program, and have an opportunity to tour the campus and learn about admissions.

Following lunch, Dr. Angela Kennedy, health information management department head, will discuss health information management, and Dr. Amy Yates, an assistant professor of human ecology, will go over options with nutrition and dietetics and child life curriculum.
