Faculty members and students from Louisiana Tech’s department of music will present a concert to raise funds for music scholarships on Saturday, May 9.

“On the Lighter Side!” will feature light classics and popular selections performed by faculty and members of the university choir. Music selections will cover a variety of styles from classical to jazz to Broadway to Brazil, plus a bit of musical humor.

The event will also feature a silent auction and additional performances in the lobby prior to and during intermission by student chamber ensembles.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Dixie Center for the Arts. Tickets are $25 each and will be available at the door or in advance at the Dixie Center, located at 212. N.
