Two Louisiana Tech School of Forestry’s students won awards at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock wildlife conclave held March 26-29, 2009.

Denton Culpepper, of Dubberly, took first place in dendrology. Christine Smith, of Ida, won third place in the painting competition for her water-based acrylic of an American elm leaf.

Tech’s wildlife students placed 14th out of 22 teams.
