Senior photography students exhibit work

Louisiana Tech School of Art invites the public to attend the free opening reception for Moving Into View: The 2009 Louisiana Tech University BFA Photography Exhibition, which will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 1, at the Enterprise Center at 509 W. Alabama Ave. in Ruston.

The exhibition features work of seniors preparing to complete their Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in photography: Sarah Alewyne, of Gloster; Jenny Burnham, of Farmerville; Jamie Costello, of Oak Grove; Courtney D. Crook, of Bastrop; Chelsea Renee Daigle, of Gretna; Katy Leachman, of Choudrant; Scott Litton, of Ruston; Sarah Rubben, of Shreveport; Lindley Rust, of Shreveport; Brian Schutza, of Haughton; Lauren Quinn Ward, of Simsboro; and Tim Wooten, of Bossier City.

The photographs in Moving Into View explore the themes of dialogue, growing up, marriage, loss of family members, religion, connection with the environment, learning who people are, the impulsive nature to collect and learning how to see.

The exhibition runs through Saturday, May 23. The Enterprise Center Gallery is generally open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call (318) 257-3890 or e-mail dorene@latech.edu.
