Thirteen members added to Tech forestry honor society

Eleven Louisiana Tech students and two new faculty members were initiated into Xi Sigma Pi, the forestry honor society, earlier this month.

Xi Sigma Pi members strive to secure and maintain a high standard of scholarship in forestry education, to work for the improvement of the profession and to promote fellowship of those involved in the field of forestry.

Initiates are listed by major.

Forestry: Michelle Gonzales, a senior from Ruston; Thomas Chandler, a senior from Canada; Wilson Hood, a senior from Ruston; and Cody Moak, a senior from Downsville.

Geographic information systems: David Druen, a senior from Mandeville; Brock Duos, a senior from Woodworth; Matthew Moore, a senior from Bossier City; and Kyle Wyatt, a senior from Ruston.

Wildlife conservation: Michael Franks, a junior from Haughton; Benjamin Holten, a senior from Slagle; and Reba McCoy, a senior from Castor.

Faculty members: Wesley Palmer and Michael Tyree.
