Sci-Fri entertains kids on hot summer nights

Louisiana Tech’s IDEA Place is gearing up for its next Sci-Fri event, which will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Friday, June 12 at the IDEA Place.

Barbara Phelps, a former art teacher and employee at the Methodist Children’s Home, will be the special guest this time and will present the science of art. Participants will work with several activities, including bubble painting.

Children ages 5 to 12 may sign up for the class, which costs $20 per child and includes a pizza dinner, cookies and a drink. The IDEA Place also offers a late pick-up until 10 p.m. for an additional $5 per child.
