Fall SciFri planned for this Friday at Tech

Sep 8, 2009 | General News

NBC 10 News meteorologist Natalie Waters will be the guest speaker at this month’s SciFri, which is hosted by Louisiana Tech’s IDEA Place.

Waters will introduce new exhibits at the IDEA Place, including a tornado machine, which is more than six feet tall, and students will have an opportunity to make their own rain gauge and participate in other experiments and activities.

The event will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at the IDEA Place.

Children ages 5 to 12 may sign up for the class, which costs $20 per child but $30 for two siblings. The IDEA Place also offers a late pick-up until 10 p.m. for an additional $5 per child.

Space is limited, so call Lindsey Keith-Vincent, museum educator, at (318) 257-2866 or e-mail her at lbkv@latech.edu to reserve a spot or for additional questions.
