Louisiana Tech’s total enrollment stands at 11,289 students for the fall 2009 which represents an addition of 339 students, an increase of 3.1 percent.

Also, a record enrollment was realized with graduate enrollment totaling 2,530, an increase of 9.3 percent.

The average ACT score of beginning freshmen remained at the 2008 level, 23.3, the highest in the history of the university. In 2007, the average ACT score was 23.2, and in 2006, it was 22.7.

“I am gratified by the enrollment numbers and ACT scores. I am particularly pleased with the continuing focus of the distance learning program which allows us to accommodate more students. We’re off and running and looking forward to a good year,” said President Dan Reneau.

Enrollment is determined after the ninth class day. Louisiana Tech has seen enrollment growth for the past two years.
