Oct 13, 2009 | General News

In support of the 2009 Common Reading selection The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, the Student Government Association and the First-Year Experience will host, ‘The Best Lecture,’ presented by Dr. Larry Sellers.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 21 at 4:00 p.m. in the Student Center and is open to the campus community. Classes are also welcome.

What is the definitive lecture you would expect from a university professor? If you were to experience a final lecture, what major life lessons would be important to you?

Dr. Sellers, selected as the Best Lecturer for the College of Applied and Natural Sciences as well as the Louisiana Tech overall Best Lecturer, will attempt to answer those questions.

Other ‘Best Lecturers’, as selected by the students, include Dr. Robert Blackstock and Mr. Larry Jarrell (Business), Ms. Sharon Bowers (Education), Mr. Danny Eddy (Engineering and Science), and Dr. Gary Stokley (Liberal Arts).
