Board of Regents chair to speak at Tech’s fall graduation

Artis Terrell, the chair of Louisiana’s Board of Regents, is slated to be the keynote speaker for Louisiana Tech’s fall graduation ceremonies.

Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Terrell, a Shreveport native, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and, after graduation, worked as an account manager for MetroMedia Communications, an account executive with Dean Wittier Reynolds and as an investment banking associate.

He was appointed by Gov. Mike Foster to serve on the Board of Regents and is the Principal of The Williams Capital Group, L.P. He also is a board member of the Caddo-Bossier Port Commission, a trustee at St. Paul CME Church in Haughton, a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals and a United Way Volunteer.

Classes for the winter quarter at Tech will begin Wednesday, Dec. 2.
