The weather outside might be frightful, but the Hot 8 Brass Band is coming to warm up the Louisiana Tech community.

The Hot 8 Brass Band delivers the sounds of New Orleans jazz and will offer the audience a taste of the Big Easy as trumpets and drums rock out with a Southern sound. The concert will feature numbers such as “Down by the Riverside” and “Saint James Infirmary.”

The concert is part of the Louisiana Tech Concert Association’s 2009-2010 season and will take place Tuesday, Jan. 19. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by visiting the Ticket Office in Howard Auditorium or calling (318) 257-3942 Monday through Friday from 1:30-4:45 p.m. for reservations. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for non-Tech students and senior citizens, and $5 for Tech students with a valid student ID.
