SGA to hold candlelight vigil

Feb 9, 2010 | General News

Louisiana Tech’s Student Government Association has planned a Haiti Candlelight Reflection Vigil for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 in Centennial Plaza.

Various campus choirs and student organizations will be featured at the event, and Britney Winn, national coordinator for Cité Lespwa, will also speak.

The vigil is open to the campus and community. Members of SGA hope that this event will bring together the Tech and Ruston community in an effort to unite in reflection and remembrance. An opportunity to contribute to various relief efforts sponsored by organizations on campus will also be available.

Participants are welcome to bring supplies, such as non-perishable food items, medical supplies including Band-Aids, cotton balls, and health kits; and basic supplies, such as blankets, clothes, and hygiene products.

For more information, contact the SGA at (318) 257-4565.
