The Career Center at Louisiana Tech University will host Brad Golson, Strategic Planning and Efficiency Review Coordinator for the Department of Homeland Security, as part of the Partnership for Public Services’ Annenberg Speakers Bureau.

This web-based presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 23 at 4:00 p.m. in Wyly Auditorium. All Tech students are invited to attend.

“The purpose of this event is to connect the students of Tech with the opportunity for jobs and internships in the federal government,” said Ron Cathey, director of Counseling and Career Services at Louisiana Tech.

Prior to his role with Homeland Security, Golson served on the Education and Outreach team at the Partnership for Public Service. During his time at the Partnership, he worked on the Call to Serve Recruitment Initiative, a study of effective recruiting and outreach strategies for federal agencies on college campuses.

Golson has also developed and overseen delivery of a number of training programs for students and career advisors. He also developed the Federal Career Day toolkit, a resource for universities seeking to build strong relationships with federal recruiters.

Because of his work with universities and federal agencies, Golson has presented at a variety of national recruitment meetings sponsored by a number of agencies and human capital organizations.

The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Public Service Speakers Bureau is a dynamic, diverse group of federal employees ready to educate audiences about the federal workforce and to inspire a new generation to serve. Speakers visit college campuses and other student venues around the nation to promote public service and provide resources that will raise awareness of federal career opportunities among young people.
