Louisiana Tech’s Faculty Concert Series will come to a close at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 with the final concert of the season, which will feature pianist Dr. Daniel Immel.

The program “Fantasies, Dreams and Nightmares” will feature six song transcriptions, as well as Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit” and Rachmaninoff’s “Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor.”

His recent collaboration with saxophonist Todd Oxford for Oxford’s second studio album, “Tango Magnetism,” is garnering rave reviews from critics.

Immel also collaborated with the renowned Cypress String Quartet as part of LTCA’s 2009-10 concert season and is preparing for a solo recital at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in July.
