Assistant English professor delivers keynote address
Dr. John Edward Martin, an assistant professor of English at Louisiana Tech, delivered the keynote address at the 2010 Honors English Colloquium at California State University-Northridge.
The event was hosted by the Iota Chi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an English Honor Society, and the theme of the colloquium was “Fantastique.”
Graduate students and faculty members from California State-Northridge and other area universities attended Martin’s lecture, “American Gothic: Art and Terror from the Puritans to Postmodernism.” Other scholars discussed papers on various aspects of British and American literature, film and popular culture.
