A Louisiana Tech French professor’s presentation was a finalist at the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
Dr. Dolliann Hurtig, along with Joyce Beckwith of Boston, Mass., were finalists with their presentation, “Allons au cinéma” in the 2010 Best of the Northeast sessions held by the NECTFL. More than 2,000 teachers and professors from around the nation attended the conference, which was held in New York City.
Established in 1954, the NECTFL conference is the oldest multi-language conference in the United States, bringing together 2,500 professors and teachers to address various issues in foreign language teaching such as advocacy, assessment, pedagogy, curriculum development and multiculturalism.
