Annual summer math fair scheduled
Louisiana Tech’s College of Education is hosting the fourth annual Summer Math Fair Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 28.
Students who completed the first through third grades can attend July 27, and students who completed grades four through six may attend July 28. The math fair will last between 1:30-3:30 both daysat the A. E. Phillips Multipurpose Room on Tech’s campus.
“My teacher candidates will be teaching lessons from all different areas of math,” said Dr. Julie Holmes, an assistant professor of education. “They run the whole thing, teaching and helping the children who come to our event.”
Both days will be filled with hands-on math geared for students to enjoy.
