Tech’s Kaczvinsky organizes international conference
Dr. Donald P. Kaczvinsky, director of Louisiana Tech’s School of Literature and Language, recently coordinated an international conference held in New Orleans and presented his own research relating to literature and language.
The On Miracle Ground Conference was held July 7-10 and was the 16th biennial event. The theme of the conference was “Durrell and the City: Reconstructing the Urban Landscape.” Scholars from across the United States came, as well as researchers from Canada, France, Turkey, Belgium, Japan and Egypt.
Kaczvinsky presented “‘Where the Blue Algonquin Flows’: Durrell and the American Environment” at the event.
The conference was funded by the International Lawrence Durrell Society, the College of Liberal Arts, and the George E. Pankey Endowed Chair in English.
