Tech marketing professor to keynote international conference
Dr. Barry J. Babin, chair of the department of marketing and analysis and the Max P. Watson professor of business at Louisiana Tech’s College of Business, will deliver the keynote address at the Global Marketing Conference to be held September 9 in Tokyo, Japan. The theme of the conference is “Marketing in a Turbulent Environment.”
Babin’s address, titled “Service and Value,” will focus on the importance of value as the key concept in all of business because it is the one thing that all parties involved in exchange always seek. He’ll explain that successful institutions are those that serve and have a commitment to serving – not producing or cost cutting.
The conference will host more than 1,000 marketing professionals and researchers from around the world. Primary sponsors for the event include the Korean Marketing Science and Chinese Marketing Association, Pusan National University and the Royal Bank among others.
