Professor, director for Tech accounting program receives national award

Dr. Thomas J. Phillips, Jr., KPMG Endowed Professor and Director of the School of Accountancy at Louisiana Tech University, has received the Outstanding Reviewer Award for his work on the review board of Accounting Education: An International Journal.
Accounting Education: An International Journal is the official journal for the International Association for Accounting Education and Research, an organization affiliated with the International Accounting Standards Board.
Phillips joined Louisiana Tech’s College of Business in 1987 and became director of the School of Accountancy in 1995.  Under his leadership, the School of Accountancy recently received full AACSB accreditation reaffirmation of its separate accounting accreditation without any concerns.  
The mission of the IAAER is to promote excellence in accounting education and research on a worldwide basis and to maximize the contribution of accounting academics to the development and maintenance of high quality, globally recognized standards of accounting practice.
