U.S. Marine Band to play for Tech’s Homecoming
After Louisiana Tech’s Homecoming game against Idaho at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, the U.S. Marine Band will close the week-long festivities with a bang.
The band, created in 1789 by then-President John Adams, has performed for every U.S. president since Adams. During its 2010 Southwest Tour, the musicians will also perform in Baton Rouge and Pineville before moving on to other Southern states.
The band will perform in its full dress uniform at 7:30 p.m., and the concert is free and open to the public. However, tickets are required. To claim tickets for this event, come by Howard Auditorium, Room 204 between 8 a.m. and noon and from 1-5 p.m. Tickets can also be picked up at the Lincoln Parish Visitors Center, 2111 N. Trenton St. There is a restriction of four tickets per request.
