Octubafest sounds into Howard Auditorium
October wouldn’t be complete without the annual Octubafest.
Louisiana Tech’s department of music will present the sixth annual Octubafest concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 in the Recital Hall, located in the Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts. The concert will feature the Trom-uba-phone Experience, which comprises performers from Tech, Bossier Parish Community College, Centenary College and Ruston High School. Music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and 20th Century periods will be performed on trombones, euphoniums and tubas.
Admission to the event is free. The concert will be hosted by Dr. Joe L. Alexander, associate professor of music and head of music theory/composition and low brass.
