Lincoln Parish native to be graduation speaker

Louisiana Tech’s fall graduation ceremonies will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Dr. Mildred Gallot, member of the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, will serve as the keynote speaker.
Gallot was appointed to serve on the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System in 2005. She is a resident of Grambling and retired as head of the history department at Grambling State University in 2003, where she worked for 44 years.
She is the author of “A History of Grambling State University,” which is used by the university during its orientation sessions. In 2007, she was inducted in the GSU Alumni Hall of Fame for outstanding service and commitment to the university.
The last day of classes for Fall Quarter 2010 will be Thursday, Nov. 18. Winter Quarter 2010 will begin Dec. 1.
