Miss Tech pageant to be held Tuesday

Sixteen women at Louisiana Tech will vie for the title of Miss Louisiana Tech 2011 at the annual pageant, which will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Howard Auditorium.
The contestants range from freshmen to graduate students with a variety of talents, from singing to tap dancing to voicing monologues.
This year’s contestants are listed below by hometown.
Alexandria – Tori Close, a junior speech education major
Calhoun –Angela Cassels, a junior health information major; Sarah Jane Nelson, a senior political science major; Sara Sims, a senior wildlife conservation major
Grand Cane — Allie Eakin, a freshman English education major
Lafayette — Elizabeth Whitford, a junior psychology major
Natchitoches — Sarah Eilts, a senior biology major
Rayville – Meagan Lee, a freshman English major
Ruston — Mallory Cox, a sophomore mathematics major; Jessica Hill, a graduate student studying counseling and guidance
Slidell — Sarah Jessica May, a junior industrial engineering major
Shreveport — Charity Jackson, a sophomore nursing major; Amy Olita, a senior journalism major
Sulphur — Meredith Harris, a junior psychology major
Sunset — Bailey Terrebonne, a freshman marketing major
Westlake — Naomi Sarai Allison, a sophomore journalism major
