Nursing students pinned in winter ceremony
Forty-eight Louisiana Tech nursing students were pinned during the Division of Nursing’s winter pinning ceremony.
Several of these new graduates were honored during the ceremony. Those who received awards were:
Lainey Heckel, of Homer — Outstanding Graduate
Janey Gaston, of Shreveport — Faculty Award, Academic Excellence, Student Nurses Association award, and Ruston District Nurses Association award
Heather Ramshur, of West Monroe — Academic Excellence
Lindsey Punchard, of Farmerville — Ruston District Nurses Association award, Student Nurses Association award
Additionally, clinical awards were given to the following students, listed by hometown:
Bastrop — Tawana Davis
Bossier City — Sandra Wilson
Dubach — Kristi Dunn
Minden — Tanika Black
Monroe — Chastity Chadwick, Kate Creel
Ruston — Mandi Taylor
Shreveport — April Neal
Kayla Johnson, associate vice president of patient care services at St. Francis Medical Center, served as guest speaker for the event.
