Tech faculty member to present ‘Trumpet Timbres’
Dr. Randall Sorensen, an associate professor of music, will present a trumpet recital Tuesday, March 22 as part of Louisiana Tech’s Faculty Concert Series.
Sorensen, who is also the holder of the James Alvey Smith Endowed Professorship, will be assisted by pianist Shayla Blake. The theme of the program is “Trumpet Timbres,” and the selections will include Wilson’s “Masks,” Honegger’s “Intrada,” Plog’s “Three Miniatures,” Kelly’s “Whodunnit” and Saint-Saens’ “Romance.”
The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Howard Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
