Film screening to ‘Focus on the Middle East’
Louisiana Tech’s upcoming event for its annual Shaping the 21st Century series will approach Middle Eastern culture through a film screening.
“Children of Heaven,” which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, focuses on two children trying to stay out of trouble after one sibling, Ali, loses his sister’s school shoes.
The film will be introduced by Dr. A. Nazir Atassi, an assistant professor of history, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 in Wyly Tower Auditorium.
The event is free and open to the public.
