Louisiana Composers Consortium concert scheduled for May 1

Louisiana Tech’s department of music will present the 40th Louisiana Composers Consortium concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1.
The concert will be hosted by Dr. Joe L. Alexander, an associate professor of music. Alexander is the head of the music theory/composition area and the low brass instructor. The concert will feature music by Alexander, University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Dr. Mel Mobley, and Tech student composers Luke Ellard, a senior music major from Benton; Tiffany Woda, a senior music education major from Haughton; and Jonathan Lewis, a senior music major from Keithville. Many of the pieces will be world premieres.
The concert will take place in the Recital Hall, located in the Howard Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information call 318-257-2060.
