Assistant professor seeks singers for chorus
Sean Teets, Louisiana Tech’s choral activities director and an assistant professor of music, is seeking to restart the North Central Louisiana Masterworks Chorus, a community singing group.
Teets said he hopes to reinstate this organization but needs members to get the idea off the ground. He plans to start rehearsals in the fall, most likely on Mondays from 7-9 p.m.
“I wanted to combine the choirs at Tech and members of the community for a major work,” he said, adding that he plans for the chorus to perform “Messiah” in December. “If there is enough interest, we will start the project.”
Any Tech student, faculty member, staff or area resident who is interested in participating in the chorus should contact Teets at 318-257-5272 or at steets@latech.edu to express interest in being in the chorus.
