Sean Teets, Louisiana Tech’s choral activities director and an assistant professor of music, seeks to restart the North Central Louisiana Masterworks Chorus, a community singing group.
Teets said he hopes to reinstate this organization but needs members to get the idea off the ground.  The first rehearsal will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12.
“I wanted to combine the choirs at Tech and members of the community for a major choral work,” he said, adding that he plans for the chorus to perform Handel’s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 in Howard Auditorium.
Any Tech student, faculty member, staff or area resident who is interested in participating in the chorus should contact Teets at 318-257-5272 or at steets@latech.edu.
