The North Central Louisiana Arts Council and 102 A Bistro will present an exhibition created by Louisiana Tech’s director of the School of Art.

The art opening “Magical Place Between,” recent work created by Jonathan Donehoo, will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 102 A Bistro, 102 N. Monroe St.

Donehoo said his artwork is “of particular interest is that magical place between light and dark, or in and out. Everything is there. If you look, you can see it all.”

On display will be Donehoo’s black and white photography from his trips abroad where he supervises students for the Tech Paris trip.

“When I travel with art students, one of the first exercises, before we visit the Coliseum or Eiffel Tower, is to slowly walk through a quiet neighborhood looking at light fixture, door handles, or address numbers,” he said. “We all see the big things, but often have forgotten how to really see the details.”

Donehoo will attend the Wednesday reception and will be available to discuss his work and inspiration.

His work will also be available for purchase by contacting NCLAC’s executive director, Leigh Anne Chambers, at the reception or by calling her at 318-255-1450.
