Annual Octubafest to be held Sunday
Louisiana Tech’s department of music will present the seventh annual Octubafest concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in the Recital Hall of Howard Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert will feature performers from Tech, Bossier Parish Community College, Ruston High School and area community members. Dr. Joe L. Alexander, an associate professor of music and head of the music theory/composition and low brass, will direct many of the pieces and will perform in a few of them. The event will feature music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and 20th Century periods using trombones, euphoniums and tubas.
