School of Performing Arts hosts 43rd annual concert
Louisiana Tech’s department of music in the School of Performing Arts will present the 43rd annual Louisiana Composers’ Consortium concert beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 in the Recital Hall, located in Howard Auditorium.
Dr. Joe L. Alexander, an associate professor of music and head of the music theory/composition area as well as the low brass instructor, will host the concert. The event will feature music by Alexander, University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Dr. Mel Mobley, Dr. Al Benner from the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts; and Tech student composers Josh Mattison, a junior music major from Benton, and Tiffany Woda, a senior music major from Haughton. Many of the pieces will be world premieres.
